Amazing Tofu

How did everyone spend their dragon boat weekend? Did you end up eating all kinds of delicious street food like me? And perhaps having one too many zongzi… One of the biggest pet peeves about eating out is NEVER getting enough vegetables, which leaves me dreaming about a glorious bowl of salad. Therefore Monday night is also "salad night" and usually I would toss together leafy greens, choice of meat (chicken, pork, beef, tuna) then simply dress my salad with salt and pepper then a choice between lemon juice, red wine vinegar, or balsamic vinegar. However, my favorite kind of salad happens to be the popular Caesar Salad, everyone knows the traditional version is filled with mayo, making the dressing rich and favorable.

However, if you’re worried about your health and calories, here’s the trick, replace mayo with tofu.

端午連假大家去哪裡玩啦? 是不是跟雪兒一樣到處吃美食,粽子也不知吃了幾顆?不管是國定假日還是周末,雪兒都喜歡到戶外走走,但出遊踏青外食最大的困擾就是葉菜類吃的很少。於是到了禮拜一晚上雪兒都會非常想吃清爽的沙拉。

沙拉看似健康,蔬菜量很大,但大家應該都是知道很多沙拉醬帶高指肪、高納,吃多反而得到反效果。通常雪兒吃沙拉的時候,淋上檸檬汁或紅酒醋就吃了。但其實,雪兒最愛的沙拉就是常常在西餐廳出現的 “凱薩沙拉”。近期跟朋友吃飯時見識到所謂的藍起士沙拉,意外的香濃好吃。但這兩種沙拉醬通常都含有肥滋滋的美乃滋 (大哭)。於是我們就要來介紹今天的剋星:

Most people think of tofu as an asian phenomenon, only seen in every type of Asian cuisine. However, let's embrace tofu in our western dishes today! Here are two of my favorite easy tofu-based salad dressings:

相信大家都對這樣食材不陌生,在中式料理時常出現,不管是涼拌、簡單的煎煮到比較高深的豆腐煲大家應該都有嘗試過,但你有想過要用它來做沙拉醬嗎?

其實西式料理中豆腐也可以是一個營養美味的食材。馬上就來介紹濃郁低卡的兩款豆腐沙拉醬!

Basic Salad Dressing Base:

1/2 pack of Tofu (soft) *est. 1 cup of silken tofu

2 garlic cloves

2 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

+for Caesar salad dressing:

56g of Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil

1 anchovy fillet

+for blue cheese dressing:

3oz blue cheese

Salt and pepper

Chili powder (optional)

Blend all ingredients with your blender and DONE. Easy.

沙拉醬基本材料:

嫩豆腐1/2盒

蒜頭2辦

檸檬2茶匙

法式芥末醬1茶匙

伍斯特醬(辣醬油)1/2茶匙

+凱薩沙拉醬

帕瑪森起士56g

初榨橄欖油1茶匙

提魚1只

+藍起士沙拉醬

藍起士85g

鹽、黑胡椒

辣椒粉(依個人喜好加入)

把所有食材放入果機打就完成了! 夠簡單了吧,快去嘗試看看!
